By opting in, you agree to receive automated texts from Backstage Baton on behalf of [your organization]: rehearsal reminders, performance updates, and announcements. In the app, “[your organization]” is replaced with your band's name. This page is a demo — no data is saved or transmitted.

SMS is optional — it is never required. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using Backstage Baton, of joining or participating in an organization, or of any purchase or transaction. Members who do not opt in keep full access to every feature and receive the same notifications by email.

About this program

Backstage Baton is a membership management platform for community bands, orchestras, wind ensembles, and similar musical organizations. On behalf of subscribing organizations, it sends SMS messages — rehearsal reminders, performance updates, attendance confirmations, and announcements — only to members who have explicitly opted in.

How members opt in

Members do not receive SMS by default. After creating an account and logging in, a member opens Notification Preferences and turns on an SMS toggle. The consent shown above appears; SMS is delivered only after they check the agreement box and tap Opt In. Consent is recorded server-side with a timestamp, IP address, and user agent.

How to opt out

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe at any time.
  • Turn off the SMS toggle on the Notification Preferences page.
  • Ask the organization administrator to remove your phone number.

Reply HELP to any SMS for support. Msg & data rates may apply; Backstage Baton does not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier may.
